Plateau Reps kick against Abubakar's appointment as new IGP

The controversy trailing last week's appointment of Mr. Mohammed Abubukar as the acting Inspector General of Police is yet to abate, as two serving members of the House of Representatives in exclusive chats with Nigerian Compass have described President Goodluck Jonathan's sack of former Police boss, Hafiz Rigim and his replacement with Abubakar as a wrong step in the wrong direction.They equally distanced themselves from a position of the House which had earlier given thumbs-up for President Jonathan over the appointment.Hon. Adamu Jonathan representing Mangu/Bokkos federal constituency of Plateau State and Hon. Bitrus Kaze representing Jos South/East federal constituency expressed doubts over ability of Abubakar to combat insecurity in the country, saying there was nothing to jubilate about the whole development.
