Kalu Uche scores hat-trick for Espanyol

KALU Uche scored a fantastic hattrick for Spanish Primera divison side, RCD Espanyol yesterday to underline his importance to Mauricio Pochettino's side.The Nigerian's goals helped Espanyol to a 5-1 victory over Rayo Valeccano at Estadio Cornell-El Prat on match day 27 of the 2011/2012 La Liga season. The midfielder who joined the Catalan club from Swiss first division outfit, Neuchatel Xamax has now scored four goals since his January move to Spain. Uche's goals against Rayo arrived in the 3rd, 44th and 68th minute and gave Espanyol crucial points which lifted them up the lower echelons of the la liga table.Uche is making his second appearance at a Spanish club after his time at Almeria between 2006 and 2009.SuperSport.com can report that the 29 year old also played for Wisla Krakow (Poland) and Girondin Bordeaux (France) after leaving Nigeria Premier League (NPL) club, Iwuayanwu Nationale (Heartland) in the 1999/2000 season. Kalu Uche has played 34 times for the Nigeria national team (Super Eagles) bagging 5 goals.
