Seminar on FOI Act from Lagos NUJ

THE Lagos State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is organising a one-day seminar on the theme: Can FOI Act Ensure A Corruption-Free Society.The seminar, being organised in conjunction with Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) for selected practicing journalists in Lagos State, is scheduled to take place on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Excellence Hotel, Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos starting from 9am prompt.The session will be presided over by the famed lawyer and human rights activist, Mr. Femi Falana, while resource persons include Mrs. Funke Egbemode, Editor, The Sun on Sunday; Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye of the University of Lagos; Mr. Edetaen Ojo, Director, Media Rights Agenda; Mr. Babatude Fagbohunlu(SAN); and Mr. Lanre Arogundade, Director of the International Press Centre.
