Breeders' Cup 2015 Results: Tracking Winners, Prize Money Payouts on Friday

Nothing says Halloween like horse racing. The 2015 Breeders' Cup, one of the largest events in the sport, kicked off Friday from Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky.Some of horse racing's biggest names are set to stretch their legs, with some big money to be given out, and Friday saw four races run.Here is a look at all of the day's action.Juvenile TurfA one-mile grass course, the Juvenile Turf gives the horse racing world a chance to view some of the best upcoming two-year-old turf horses that will surely dominate in the future.The turf circuit is one for European horses to strut their stuff in America, and they did so in the day's first race.Hit It A Bomb, an Irish horse, used an explosive final few strides in the homestretch to overtake a late surge from the favorite in Airoforce and Birchwood to win by half a head. Here are the prize-money payouts for the $1 million mile:Hit It A Bomb is the sixth European horse to win the Juvenile Turf in its nine years, according to the NBC Sports telecast.The race was all Manhattan Dan, who started from the No. 3 position and bounded out of the gates to take a solid lead. He's known for his big starts, and it showed Friday.In fact, Hit It A Bomb was near the back of the pack to start.At the Races has the replay of the homestretch:Manhattan Dan held the lead for three quarters of the race, leading by as many as 3.5 lengths, but in the final stretch, he quickly faded, and the trio of Hit A Bomb, Airoforce and Birchwood blew by him. He finished in seventh.There was also some NHL connections in this race, as Ray's the Bar, owned by former Chicago Blackhawk and current NBC Sports analyst Eddie Olczyk, finished 11th on the day.Regardless, the first race of the day provided a flying, dramatic start to Friday.
