Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal maintains the atmosphere in the Red Devils' dressing room is excellent, and he claims he'll continue managing the club until his chemistry with the players disappears.The Dutchman said he has left clubs in the past and will do so again at Old Trafford, although there is no reason to fear his departure in the near future, per the Daily Telegraph's Peter Oliver:Im happy that when I'm gone, people are saying nice things about me. But the most important thing is not always that. ....And when I have the feeling that the chemistry is there, I will always work to my utmost best.But when I have a single feeling that it is not like that, I'm the first coach that quits and I have proved that already with my former clubs and former jobs.I don't think there is a coach that quits by himself because of the money, but I am like that.It's fantastic that people are saying when I'm gone, 'Oh, he was very good, he gave structure and was the basis for other things.But it's not the most important thing for me. The most important thing for me as a trainer, coach and manager is the chemistry between me and my players and my board. ...It's in my opinion is the chemistry between players and staff. That chemistry is the most important thing.Per Oliver, Van Gaal made the claim amid widespreadreports of dissatisfaction in the dressing room, and earlier this season, he admitted to a meeting with player representatives Wayne Rooney and Michael Carrick regarding the usage of unpopular training methods.Now in his second season at Old Trafford, Van Gaal has United sitting near the top of the Premier League standings, but all is not well. While the Mancunians have one of the country's top defensive records, they've struggled tremendously in attack, and fans aren't happy.Per Oliver, the fans' disapproval of Van Gaal's boring tactics grows louder every week, and pundits seem to have the same opinion. BBC Sport's Phil McNulty was particularly harsh after Van Gaal claimed his side were the better team in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City on Nov. 28:The appointment of Jurgen Klopp as manager of rivals Liverpool hasn't helped. Under Klopp, the Reds suddenly look like a vibrant, exciting club that plays attractive football, but more importantly, their new playing style has also led to some good results.Pundits such as Sam Pilger of FourFourTwohave been quick to make the comparison:Van Gaal has a history of moving about and hasn't stayed with the same club longer than a handful of seasons since his spell with Ajax. He usually finds success early and moves on to the next project before long.There's no reason to believe things will be different in Manchester.
