Wrestling body honours Oshiomhole

EDO State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, will be presented with a Peace and Good Governance Award today in Benin City by the organisers of the First Adams Oshiomhole International Wrestling Championship.The initiator of the award, Hammed Mohammed, said the award is in recognition of Oshiomhole's administrative acumen, as well as his pursuit of peace in the state for the past four years. He stated: 'Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has served the people of Edo State like no other.'The massive development witnessed since he came to power has been unprecedented. He has also been able to foster peaceful co-existence among the diverse people of the state; we the organisers of the First Adams Oshiomhole International Wrestling Championship are proud of his achievements and decided to reward him accordingly.'Also to receive Good Leadership Award is the erstwhile Minister of Information, Tom Ikimi, as the body said: 'We'll also be rewarding Ikimi for his leadership qualities and his support for Comrade Oshiomhole.'The ceremony will hold in the boardroom of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, where the Commissioner, Anita Evbhowan, is billed to receive the award on behalf of the governor.
