Edo gov poll: Pro-Osunbor group accuses PDP

MEMBERS of the Edo Restoration Project 2012, the campaign machinery that promoted Professor Oserheimen Osunbor to return as governor of Edo State, on Tuesday, accused the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state of playing politics of exclusion and selective inclusion.The group said it had reviewed the state of affairs of the Edo PDP since the party's governorship primary of February 25, in relation to its preparedness for the July 14 gubernatorial election in the state, adding that its verdict was that of disappointment in the way the affairs of the party was being handled.In a text of a press conference jointly signed by its state coordinator, Nosa Omorodion; Edo South coordinator, Dr Macaulay Iyare and the director of mobilisation, Nosa Omoruyi, which was read by Omorodion, the group expressed displeasure with what it called apparent disdain with which it had been treated after the primary.He noted that members of the group had expressed concern as to their fortune in a PDP-led administration, given what he claimed was the present disrespect and neglect of the group in the scheme of things.
