SUPER Eagles' coach, Stephen Keshi has heaped praises on his players following their superb performance, saying they have proved their critics wrong, by garnering full points during their last two matches ' World Cup and Nations Cup qualifying matches.Eagles' now tops Group F in the World Cup qualifiers then beat Rwanda 2-0 on Saturday to progress to the final qualifying round of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations, and Keshi told SuperSport.com that his players surmounted a difficult period to make him proud."I'm very delighted we beat Rwanda to complete three weeks of hard work and sacrifice on the part of the players," he said."I have been really impressed with the players from the local league and the foreign-based because this is their holiday period."It was a hard period of training for all of them, and I thank them for sacrificing a lot to make sure we remain on course for both the World Cup and the Nations Cup," he added.Keshi however singled out Kano Pillars midfielder Gabriel Reuben, who was voted Man-of-the-Match against the Amavubi, as one player that has really come of age during his rebuilding process."He has been awesome, and truly deserves all the accolades he is getting," he said."He was brilliant against Malawi and repeated that performance all over again against Rwanda, and generally speaking, the home-based players have shown they can do it if given the opportunity."Nigerians have to be patient and show more belief in them, after all, this is the same system that produced players like myself, Kanu and many others they have idolised over the years.'Nigeria resumes Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign in September and October when they would be paired over two legs against one of the participating teams at the 2012 edition in the final round.
