Ikpeba, Akanni add colour to Telecoms Games kick-off

FORMER international football stars and top officials of leading telecommunication industry operators were on hand to grace the opening ceremony of the 2012 Nigeria Telecommunications Games (NTG), which kicked off on Sunday at the University of Lagos Sports Complex with live music, dance performances and a kiddie's fun park.Former African Player of the Year, Victor Ikpeba and ex-international Waidi Akanni attended the ceremony as a mark of support and endorsement for sports and healthy living in corporate Nigeria. They were joined on the VIP stands by senior officials of the participating teams that came to personally cheer their respective teams to victory.From MTN was the General Manager and Head of Legal Team, Rume Rotimi, John Murray, the Chief Information Officer of Etisalat, Ladipo Adegoke, the Key Account Manager at Alcatel Lucentand Charles Wagner, the Ericsson Domain Area Manager.Commending the organizers and the participating teams, Ikpeba described the Nigeria Telecom Games as the biggest sporting event in corporate Nigeria and urged the teams .
