Egbeda LG donates to community

The caretaker committee chairman of Egbeda Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr Fatai Akinsanmi, has donated a transformer to the residents of Aanuoluwapo community in the council area.Speaking at the ceremony, the chairman said the gesture was to complement the state governor's efforts in spreading the dividends of democracy across the nooks and crannies of the state.He said the transformer would enhance regular and stable supply of electricity to the community.Akinsanmi added that the intention of his administration was to boost economic activities in the local government area.He enjoined the people of the community to guide the transformer jealously against vandalism and theft.The council boss also urged the people to rally round the Abiola Ajimobi-led administration in order to reap more dividends of democracy.While responding, the chairman, landlords/Tennats Association in the community, Mr Michael Eniade, thanked the council boss for the gesture which he said would boost socio-economic activities in the area.He also pledged the support and cooperation of the community for the local government.
