S/West wins Parliamentary Games

THE South West zone of the country has emerged the champion of the second edition of the Parliamentary Staff Games held at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta, Ogun State ending up with two gold, two silver and 1 bronze medal.In the second position was the South-East zone with two gold; one silver and two bronze medal, while National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) is placed third with one gold, one silver and one bronze medal.Meanwhile, the South West, represented by Ogun State beat South East 2-0 in the football event to pick the gold as Ajani Olonade of Ogun State House of Assembly was adjudged the Most Valuable Player of the football event.Edogie Chwukwuemeka won gold in Tennis for the South East zone, while Funmi Daniels won Gold in Table Tennis for the South West zone: South East's Nbam Emmanuel won gold in badminton and National Assembly Sports Commission won gold in Scrabble.Also, NASC was voted the best behaved team of the games.
