Published by Tribune on Wed, 18 Jul 2012

NIGERIA'S under-20 female team Super Falconets, will now camp in South Korea instead of China earlier penciled down for the two weeks camping ahead of the women football mundial billed for Japan next month, says the head on competitions in the NFF, Dr Mohammed Sanusi.According to the head of competitions in the Glasshouse, the choice of Korea is contigent on the need to get close to the weather condition the girls will be playing under when the competition proper kicks off.''We have rescinded the decision to allow the girls train in China as earlier agreed because of weather. After careful analysis of the weather condition in Japan and in fact the South East Asian sub-continent, we decided to settle for Korea because they share similar weather condition with Japan,' Sanusi sated. He said travelling formalities have been commenced so as to facilitate easy passage of the entire team. The team, is expected to get the best of test by way of top quality friendlies from the tough Korean female football league.''We intend to make the best use of the Korean experience because that country has a lot as far as female football is concerned.' Let's not forget that you can rank them in the same league with countries like the US, Japan and Germany when you talk of female football,'' he submitted.Meanwhile the coach Okon tutored girls have upped their training schedule as the mood in camp now is to psychologically tune the mind of the girls who are a mixture of U-17 girls and some with international experience with the team in previous dispensation.
