Yobo finally gets Turkey wish

EVERTONhas agreed a 2 million fee for Nigerian skipper, Joseph Yobo, to join Fenerbahce of Turkey permanently, according to reports.The Toffees have finally accepted a knockdown price of 2 million for the want-away defender after a long-drawn transfer negotiation, according to Turkish-Football.com.Everton earlier slammed a transfer fee of 5 million on the Standard Liege of Belgium former star before it was slashed to 2.5 million. It is believed that Everton finally agreed to the substantially lower fee so as to get some much-needed cash that would finance the return of Steven Pienaar to Goodison Park.The South African, Pienaar, is now set for a permanentreturn to Everton. The playmaker has agreed terms and is ready and waiting to move back to Merseyside and sign the dotted line, but Everton must first release the funds to pay Spurs.Despite still being an Everton player technically, Yobo has been excused from reporting for pre-season training with the club.The 31-year old central defender will be a happy man now that the transfer imbroglio has been settled. He has been on loan at the Turkish giant for two straight seasons.
