Ladipo begs Japanese embassy for supporters' visa

PRESIDENT General of Nigeria Football and other Sports Supporters Club, Rafiu Ladipo has made a passionate appeal to the Japanese embassy not to delay the issuance of visas to members of his club that are preparing to storm the country and support Nigeria's female U-20 team known as 'Falconets' in this year's FIFA women U-20 world cup to be hosted by the country from August 19- September, 8, 2012.According to him, members of the club have in the past two weeks been appealing to the Japanese embassy on the need to issue them visas on time to enable the team travel to the Asian nation on August 14 and be part of the opening ceremony even as he noted that it would help in improving bilateral relations between the two countries.He noted that the appeal became necessary so as to avoid a repeat of the club's experience when they were issued visas late during 2002 Japan/ Korea world cup that made them miss some of the matches involving the Super Eagles. However, Ladipo and few of his members are at the ongoing London Olympic Games drumming/chanting support for the only few team Nigeria Athletes remaining.
