THE Super Eagles continued their buildup to the friendly against Niger Republic next Wednesday with a hard fought 2-0 win over FCT Federation Cup champions; Police Machine FC.The match played at the FIFA Goal Project site saw Uche Kalu scoring the first goal in the 30th minute through a free kick.Sanusi Sanni blasted home the second goal in the 89 minute. Nigeria's head coach, Stephen Keshi said he has made necessary observations and corrections will be continous in the team ahead of the Niger Republic friendly.Meanwhile, Head Coach of Police Machine FC of Abuja, Mukaila Ali, has chided the Super Eagles for being casual and overconfident in the early parts of the game, declaring that if they tried such against a more experienced side they will be made to pay dearly.Ali, who spoke moments after the encounter, said the national team players probably thought that because his side campaigns in the Nationwide Division Two, they will be no match for them. 'We saw the arrogance of the team in the early parts of the game and tried to seize the initiatives before they woke up. I will advise Coach Stephen Keshi, as a senior colleague to tell his boys that there is no small team anywhere in the world and the boys must imbibe that in their game plan all the time'.Ali, however praised the high quality of the team, saying that the coaching crew took time to pick the best from the league to become national team players. 'They showed that at any day and any time the national team will always be the national team. They have a very good side but must work on concentration and arrogance', he said.The youthful coach also called on Police authorities in the FCT to give more support to the team, which he said is made up 100 per cent of serving policemen, who are capable of bringing honours not only to the police command but the entire nation. 'We are aware of the security challenges in the country, but we will still appeal for support to build a team that the police and Nigerians will be proud of, we have the players who can achieve that', he said.
