Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink said Diego Costa is champing at the bit to get back to action ahead of the Blues' Premier League clash with Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The Spanish striker has been suspendedfor the last three matches following his clash with Everton's Gareth Barry in the FA Cup, and Hiddink revealed he has been working very hard to stay in contention while not playing, per GetWestLondon's Matt Lewis and Dimitri Kondonis:"There can be a tendency to take a break, but he didnt. He worked very hardespecially when we were on the road. He worked at Cobham with the staff. Hes very ambitious, eager to play."Chelsea will be eager to bounce back from their 1-0 loss to Swansea City last time out but Hiddink admitted it is difficult to stay motivated at this stage of the season when there is nothing to play for anymore, per PA Sport's Matt McGeehan:Following their Premier League title victory last season, the Blues now sit in mid-table obscurity and can move up only as far as ninth if they beat City. The Sky Blues will be desperate for three points as they are still yet to guarantee a top-four spot this season and former Blues player Kevin De Bruynewho has been in brilliant form since his return from injurywill likely have a big role to play against his old club.Hiddink was philosophical when asked what might have been had Chelsea not sold De Bruyne to Wolfsburg in 2014, while he also commented on another former Chelsea player who has starred this season in the Premier League, Everton's Romelu Lukaku, per ESPN FC's Liam Twomey:The Dutchman has only six games remaining of his interim spell in charge at Chelsea before Antonio Conte takes the reins at Stamford Bridge in the summer.Hiddink said he will be happy to continue helping Chelsea out beyond the end of the season if he is asked, per Twomey:The reverse fixture back in August saw City convincingly beat Chelsea 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium.Chelsea will want to avoid a similar result this time around even if there is little to play for, and Hiddink said his players have a duty to the club to perform, per McGeehan:He also gave an update as to the personnel he will be able to call on for the west London clash, per ESPN FC's Ben Dinnery:It should be an intriguing match at Stamford Bridge as City still have a great deal to play for, while it will be interesting to see how Chelsea respond to the Swansea defeat, which was their first league loss this season under Hiddink.
