He is cute and she is prettyOur love story as narrated by the couple:We met in 2007 while we were both undergraduates at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye.Lekan: I can remember that cool evening when I saw my precious jewel walking down from Beverly Hills heading towards Bobagunwa Hall year 2007. I was struck by her beauty so I rushed outside to take a better look at her.Trust is built when someone is vulnerable and not taken advantage of. The ones who love you would never leave you. Even if they are hundred reasons to give up, they would find one to hold onI still fall for you everyday....... I loved what I saw and I knew she was my woman.I consulted the guru of the area who happens to be a colleague of hers......and she realized home wasn't a place. It was being safe in his arms...."I like this Bae, please introduce me to her" and without wasting time, this friend of ours carried out a meeting and we got talking. We became friends. Of course, I wanted more than just a platonic friendship, I was in love with her and everyone that was close to me, knew how much I adored her but Funke kept me on a 'friend zone' level.A man truly loves you when; Missing you is his hobby, Caring for you is his job, Making you happy is his duty, Loving you is his life.....When someone truly cares about you they make an effort not an excuseTo the world, you may be one person, but to me, you are the world.....Funke: Well, he asked me out in 2007 but I didn't accept until seven years after, on the 1st of June, 2014 at his Mum's birthday. I didn't take him seriously because he didn't appear serious to me...eg his hair cut, appearance, life style etc. I had to bend him in some areas and when he finally suit my taste, I said yes.Would you be my husband, blink for yes, lick your elbow for No....Lekan: Her ''Shakara'' was too much. There was nothing I didn't do to prove my undying love for her. I changed my phone password to her name, I even feigned sickness like Ammon did to have his sister's attention in the Bible, but Funke didn't accept...Lol, things we do for love! All through the period, I dated other ladies though, but I always knew she was the one for the me and I didn't give up on her. I am glad all that is history now. She finally accepted to be my woman' on the Ist of June and we got engaged in 2015.I have a crush on your mind. I fell for your personality. Your looks are just a bonusFunke: He was truly patient with me, it wasn't a smooth ride all through but true love overcame the hurdles. I made up my mind to be his woman because he turned out to be my dream man...honest, very honest, caring, sweet, God fearing and we had a lot of things common. For instance, we were both born on a Sunday. He doesn't take me for granted, he always puts me first, he is so selfless and is always willing to go the extra mile to make me happy. I am so proud to call him my very own, my heart beat, my super man!You are not only my greatest Pleasure, but my greatest Reward.....Do what your heart desires, never hold back a thing and don't worry about what others think, because at the end of the day, what makes you happy is what really matters the most......It is not only marrying the right partner, it is being the right partner....Isn't it kind of amazing how someone who was an absolute stranger can without anything as much as a warning, mean so much to you'After a year and a few months of dating, he proposed to on my birthday in 2015. It was a surprise because I never expected it, I didn't even see it coming.
