Ahmed denies alleged rift with Saraki

GOVERNOR Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State at the weekend debunked claims of a rift between him and his predecessor, Dr. Bukola Saraki.In an interview with reporters in Ilorin, the state capital, Ahmed said the rumour-mongers of the alleged misunderstanding 'are using political gimmicks trying to create a wrong impression of the cordial relationship between my leader and I.'He said it would be an impossible mission for him to be at loggerheads with Saraki, citing their common vision for the socio-political and economic development of the state.The governor, who equally debunked alleged moves by his government to acquire the Central Praying Ground for Muslims in Ilorin with a view to selling it, said he would not be distracted by such unfounded claims in his quest at transforming the state and its people.
