Kogi CP honoured for effective community policing

FOR effective community policing and crime prevention, the Kogi State Police Commissioner, CP Muhammed Musa Katsina, has received the Distinguish Crime Fighter of the year award.Similarly, Mr Ajayi Okasanmi, an Assistant Supretendent of Police, who was Police Deputy Public Relations Officer, also received an award of a diligent and outstanding officer.Giving the award, the publisher of Lagos Network Newspapers, Chief Gbenga Adebayo, stressed that the performances of the police boss had been monitored for the past five years and he has been found to be above board.His words; 'your outstanding professionalism, accessibility, humility, participatory policing, closing late daily while on duty, have contuously earn you respect."It is noteworthy that crime rate in the state has drastically reduced to its barest minimum, and to any conscientious human being, these achievements through sleeplessness, are too intimidating to be ignored," he addedIn his response, Musa Katsina said he was amazed that his little contributions in fighting crime in the country were being observed to the extent of been rewarded.He reiterate his determination to stamp out criminal activities in the state and maintain the stance of zero tolerance to corruptionWhile dedicating the award to men and officers in his command, he commended the Inspector General of Police for believing in his abilities to fight crime in the state.
