Edo Commissioner orders hockey teams back home

EDO State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Hon Iziegbe Anita Evbuomwan has ordered the both male and female hockey team back to the state so as to safeguard the lives of the athletes.Hon Iziegbe gave this directive over the crisis that led to various degrees of injuries sustained by Edo players on match day one of the ongoing National Sports Festival South-South Zone One Team Sports elimination in Yenagoa, Bayelsa on Tuesday.Speaking to sports writers in Yenagoa, she stated that she took that decision the best interest of the game and the safety of the athletes.
