Conference: Northern, Southern leaders to meet Jonathan Oct - Clark

LEADER of Delta StateElders Council, Chief Edwin Clark, has hinted that leaders of thought, drawn from the southern and northern regions, are set to hold meetings with President Goodluck Jonathan, to draw an agenda for a constitutional conference, which he said was meant to strengthen national unity.The proposed conference, according to the elder statesman, had the support of all 17 southern states, adding that northern leaders had equally seen the necessity to discuss the future of Nigeria.Clark said the national conference became necessary, in the light of uncertainty about the future of the Nigerian federation which, according to him, had been blurred by massive corruption and attendant security breaches.
