Kogi gov lauds Mopamuro residents over road rehabilitation

Kogi state governor, Captain Idris Wada (retd), has flagged off the road rehabilitation project embarked upon by the people of Mopamuro Local Government Area.During the kicked off, he said 'the road towards ensuring that Kogi State is transformed to be among the three developed economies in Nigeria by 20:2020 may be rough, slow, tough and long, but through the people's patience, the present administration has what it takes to succeed as it will deliver all its promises to the people.'Represented by his deputy, Mr. Yomi Awoniyi, who also joined in the road rehabilitation, he said the state government was pursuing vigorously, the plan by the Federal Government and Dangote Cement Company to repair the Kabba-Egbe road and commended FERMA for awarding and mobilising the contract for the construction of the broken down Kabba bridge.Capt Wada commended the people of Mopamuro for their communal effort at fixing a federal road and charged other communities to emulate the people.Earlier, the Liaison Officer, Funsho Daniyan, said the intention was to key into the transformation agenda of the present administration in the state and to reduce the plight of the commuters.
