By Obi Enweze The fiercest battle within Nigerias social milieu these days is not over the substance of Chinua Achebes just published memoir, There Was A Country: A Personal Narrative of Biafra, but the arcane question of whether statements he made in the memoir are capable of disrupting the fragile ethnic relationship among Nigerians. If Achebe intended for his memoir to accomplish something other than convey the authors trademark candor, that would be a sad comment on the exemplary and admirable life of Africas most widely read author.
