This amazing Barclays recruitment video from 2006 shows how much banking has changed since the financial crisis

UBS has made a promotional video. Apparently it looks like Reservoir Dogs, but it also looks like middle aged men walking very slowly with transfixed smiles before talking earnestly about integrity straight to camera. Mice aside, you could be forgiven for wondering whether you really want to work for the Swiss bank after watching it. It all looks a bit intense. The same cannot be said for the truly, truly excellent Barclays Capital recruitment video from 2006 which we've posted below. Lost to the world in the outer recesses of YouTube before it was revived on Twitter yesterday as a counterpoint to UBS's dirge, it's a reminder of a more happy, more fun, more lighthearted time in banking, when Bob Diamond ruled the world and everyone still thought that CDO-squareds were a terribly good idea.Separately, Deutsche Bank is hiring.Bloomberg reports that the German bank has got some big recruitment going on in Florida, where it wants to add 250 people.
