Chance The Rapper Addresses Chicago's Gun Violence, Police Brutality

Chance the Rapper is not afraid to speak his mind when it comes discussing the issue of gun violence in his hometown of Chicago.In the Aug. 20 issue of Billboard magazine, the rapper recalled some of his dads past experiences dealing with the citys rampant crime rate during his tenure as deputy chief of staff to Mayor Rahm Emanuel. My dad is getting the call every morning, updates on how many kids got shot the day before. In a time of crisis he tried to be strategic, and he should have been more compassionate, he told Billboard in regards to his dad who was appointedas an executive with Chicagos tourism bureau inJuly.
