The acting Director-General, National Directorate of Employment, Mr. Olakunle Obanyan, has said that the agency alone cannot tackle Nigerias unemployment challenges. According to Obanyan, the reason for this was because unemployment growth in Nigeria has become astronomical, and also for the fact that the country was currently undergoing economic crises. The acting NDE boss who was represented by the Kwara State Coordinator of the organisation, Mr. Ademola Adeyemo, spoke on the sidelines of the opening ceremony of a three-month environmental beautification training scheme for 150 participants on Friday in Ilorin, the capital.
