JJ Redick Breaks Clippers Single-Season Mark for 3-Point Makes

Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard JJ Redick drained three three-point shots in Wednesday's regular-season finale against the Sacramento Kings, setting a new single-season bar at 201 for the most made in a single campaign, per Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times.Redick actually broke his own mark of 200 he set each of the last two campaigns, per Basketball Reference. However, he also hoisted up 10 more attempts than 2014-15 and 47 more than 2015-16, shooting his lowest percentage from deep of the three campaigns.Despite playing in just his 11th professional season, Redick ranks 40th on the all-time three-point list. He's even higher on the accuracy list, shooting a career 41.5 percent to rank 14th in three-point percentage.The Clippers enter the playoffs as possibly the association's hottest team, winning seven straight to end the regular season. Redick may not be a centerpiece of the club, but he certainly fulfills his role as the designated sharpshooter.Los Angeles will now prepare for a first-round matchup against the Utah Jazz beginning Saturday night. The club will look to exorcise some postseason demons, having never advanced to the conference finals in franchise history.
