Amaechi Swears In Nine New Commissioners

RIVERS State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi has sworn-in nine new Commissioners, bringing the numbers of commissioners to 24.Amaechi charged the new commissioners to shun corrupt acts and see their job as a call to service, warning that the administration would not tolerate any act that would impinge on its vision and mission for the state.He urged them to place high premium on the needs of the masses in line with his administration's promise to provide the citizenry with amenities. 'We need to work as a team to realize our goals. The people need water, light and good roads,' he said.'I will not hesitate to remove any commissioner that is found to be corrupt. It would be better to hurt you, than to hurt the majority of Rivers people,' he warned.The new Commissioners are Mrs. Joeba West, Dr. Sampson Parker, Mr. Joe Poroma, Mr. Levi Gogo-Charles and Mr. Stanley Marshall-Uwom. Others are Mr. Chuma Chinye, Barr. Wogu Boms, Mr. Owene Wonodi and Dr. Ipalibo Harry.Meanwhile the governor has inaugurated the new Rivers State Civil Service Commission headed by Sir. Ngo Martins-Yellowe.Other members of the Commission sworn-in include Chief Bebe Ukpabi, Messiah Wokocha, Hon. Kerian Wobodo and Prince Melo Kekwe.
