Ndukwe offers peep into campus life

CAMPUS Traumar, a book by Kingsley Kalu Arua Ndukwe dwells on life within the four walls of the ivory tower.In the new book, the author seeks to show how different the campus environment is from the world outside. The publication, full of excitement is also filled with passionate expressions and slices of experiences of 'freedom' as it dawns on new students in campus that they have walked into a new environment marked by freedom. But it notes that the freedom comes with its big prizes such as the sense of bewilderment and unexpected challenges that stare the new entrant on the face.The revelations, according to the author, are not to discourage the new fellow in campus but to arm him or her with the drive for success which itself is a product of the hidden properties of the man, the matter and the method he employs to pursue life.The book launched recently, in Abuja received wide commendations as many of the guests at the event reasoned that it will affect intending scholars positively and arm them with the need to be focused on the purpose of education. Ndukwe, a graduate of Food Science, Abia State University, Uturu and currently pursuing a higher degree in Public Health (Population and Reproductive Health Nutrition) at the University of Ibadan, had a teeming audience from hois native Abriba Community, Abia State in attendance at the launch.Responding to questions during his book launch, the author noted that 'a man of success must have personal conviction, a good grip of the subject matter, and device the right method that ensures links between him and his challenges to proffer physical and spiritual weapons for success.'According to him the purpose of his book is to offer a peep into life in tertiary institutions. 'Campus Trauma x-rays the chain of challenges that present themselves within the euphoria of exclusion found in the tertiary institution. It is an indispensable material for both prospective and stale students.'It reminds you of the battle ahead that can only be fought and won by the grace of God and by the determination to hold on to the unseen Hand that is to keep you all through life journey,' said Ndukwe.
