Capacity building for communicators in Kaduna

THE third edition of the national communication summit by the Kaduna-based Timex School of Communication (TsC) will hold from November 14 to 16, 2011 in the school's premises in Kaduna. Expectedly, the three-day outing will draw participants from public, private and corporate organisations.As usual, the opening ceremony that will preface the training session will parade former Director General, Nigerian Television Authority and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Mallam Mohammed Ibrahim as chairman, while former Executive Director, Spring Bank Plc, Dr. Kabir Ahmed is the keynote speaker.In a statement by the founder of the school, Mallam Kabir Dangogo, who is also CEO of Timex Communications Nigeria Limited, a total of eight sessions will be featured during the summit covering diverse issues such as Corporate Social Responsibility or Corporate Social Investment; Public Relations as a Survival Strategy in a Depressed Economy; Effective Management of the Media and Maximising Publicity; Managing Crisis using Social Media; Choosing the Right Media for Effecting Advertising Campaign; Why the Media Matter in Policy-Making; Effective Management of Political Communication; as well as Building and Managing Successful Brands.
