Curb police brutality

Iyabo Akerele, Lekki, Lagos State, +23480559205: In a well organised society, there is a separate body that carries out independent investigation on police brutality et al. Take the case of the policeman in London who hit a defenceless man during the G-8 Summit and the man died. The Police denied touching him until a civilian video proved otherwise. The Independent Police Commission did its job so did the police hierarchy. The problem here is as usual no political will to check police excesses as they are instruments used for abuse of human rights by the same people who wish to perpetuate themselves in office.
