FG'll address security challenges .'Jonathan assures, commissions Federal High Court complex in Katsina

PRESIDENTGoodluckJonathan, on Thursday, commissioned the N600 million Federal High Court complex building in Katsina, with an assurance that the Federal Government is determined to address the security challenges in the country.President Jonathan, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, stated this shortly before commissioning the building situated on the Katsina-Mani road in the state capital.The president, who noted that concerted effort and measures were being made to confront the security challenges headlong, stressed the need for loyalty, patriotism, discipline, transparency and justice to achieve the goals of the transformation agenda.On the economic front, President Jonathan revealed that the economic management team is currently engaged in tinkering with the nation's socio-economic architecture and assured of a positive outcome.The president, however, commended the Katsina State governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Shehu Shema, for his good works and support towards the successful completion of the High Court building.In his remark, Governor Shema said that the judiciary being the last point of call to the people deserved all the needed support and assistance, adding that his administration was conscious of the rule of law, as the judiciary is a partner in progress.Shema revealed that the judiciary in the state had been granted financial autonomy by his administration, a policy started by his predecessor and the late President Umaru Yar'Adua in the state.He, therefore, assured that his administration would continue to do its best for the development of the judiciary and the courts to ensure a level playing field in the state.In his welcome address, the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Jusitce Ibrahim Ndahi Auta, said the court started in a temporary accommodation in March 2008 and commended the state government for providing the plot of land for a permanent office complex equipped with modern facilities
