NSE admits NAHCO's N2.15bn bonds into DOL

The Nigerian Stock Exchange has admitted Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plcs N2.15bn bond Series 1 2011/201 into its Daily Official List.The bond is a Fixed Rate Bond form part of the companys N5bn debt issuance programme and was admitted last Wednesday.The NSEs report for the week ended November 4, 2011 noted that by the action, the number of listed bonds and securities had increased to 11 and 248, respectively.According to the report, a total of 867 million shares of 50 kobo each at N1 per share were added to the issued shares of Premier Breweries Plc.This, according to the report, was done last week in conclusion of the companies Rights Issue.In the Over-the-Counter Bond market, a total of 202 million units, worth N165bn were recorded last week, in 1,658 deals, compared to 117.35 million units, valued at N97.30bn exchanged the preceding week in 650 deals.According to the report the most active bond in terms of turnover was the 10 per cent FGN Bond 2030, with a traded volume of 75.7 million units, worth N57.81bn in 677 deals.This was followed by the 5.5 per cent FGN February 2013 Bond, with a turnover of 41.14 million units, worth N37.89bn in 332 deals.The report noted that 13 of the 27 available FGN Bonds were traded during last week, similar to the 13 recorded during the preceding week.According to the report, Equity Assurance Plcs audited result for the year ended December 31, 2010, showing a 15 per cent decline in its gross premium from N2.47bn in 2010 to N2.10bn.The companys profit after tax stood at N28.8m in the year under consideration, compared to a loss of N895m recorded a year earlier.Okomu Oil Palm Plcs unaudited result for the third quarter ended September 30, 2011, showed an increase in turnover from N6.08bn in 2010 to N8.02bn in the 2011.Its profit after tax stood at N3.78bn in the year under consideration, compared to N1.63bn in 2010.Accordingly, the companys Board of Directors has recommended an interim dividend of N1 per share to shareholders registered in its books as at November 28, 2011. However, payment would commence from December 19, 2011.Red star Express Plc recorded a turnover of N2.39bn in its unaudited results for the half-year ended September 30, 2011, higher than N2.12bn recorded in the similar period of 2010. Its profit after tax rose to N172.2m, up from N143.8m in 2010.
