Ibadan Ladies Open Golf Championship gets date

OVER 250 golfers will participate in this year's edition of the Ibadan Ladies Open Golf Championship, billed for Ibadan Golf Club (IGC), Onireke, Ibadan.The three-day tournament is expected to bring together some of the country's top golfers, both at the amateur and professional levels in the female and male categories from December 5 to 7.According to the Lady Captain of the club, Alhaja Otolola Adesiyan, this year's event will be better than previous tourneys as she disclosed that big prizes will be won in different categories.Adesiyan said the course would be friendly with the participants that will participate in this year's Ladies Open because it is all green.'Everything is now on the ground and the preparations are on course and we hope to stage a successful and better tournament compared to the previous years and we will be expecting over 150 golfers that will participate in this year's edition because of the call we have been receiving over the few days, it is going to be a unique tourney here at the IGC.'Our major sponsor for this year Open is Huawei, the leading global ICT solutions provider and other individuals.'Adesiyan promised that the tourney will be fun-filled as tee-off each day will be 7am on Saturday and Sunday while the cocktail party will begin at 7pm on Friday, December 5.
