LG boss donates to motherless babies

THE Chairman, Caretaker Committee of Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, Mr Abass Aleshinloye, on Tuesday, visited the Care People Foundation Motherless Babies Home to celebrate the Sallah festival with them.The local government boss, in company of his delegate, donated a bag of rice and a ram alongside an undisclosed amount of money to enable the children partake in the festive season.According to him, 'at this period, celebration is going on here and there, it is not good to neglect these children. We want them to have a sense of belonging.'Speaking on behalf of his colleagues in the home, an 18-year-old boy, Kolapo Ayodeji said, 'I want to sincerely thank our chairman, Prince Aleshinloye on behalf of my brothers and sisters. God will bless you. It is the people that have the fear of God that care for other people. I also appeal to other influential people who do not know how to give to emulate him.'Reacting to the gesture, owner of the home, Mrs Favour Tioluwani, said 'we really appreciate Prince Aleshinloye for this gesture. It is a wonderful surprise and a beginning of a new relationship with the council, adding that the number of children in this home is growing more and more and that the only way we fund this home is through donations.'Aleshinloye also appealed to the children not to lose hope, but believe in themselves and to see themselves as equal to everyone in the society.
