CJN speaks on judiciary reforms today 'As NIALS honours Bayo Ojo, others

THE Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Dahiru Musdapher, will today speak on the ongoing reforms in the judiciary at the 2011 Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS) Fellows' lecture, where the institute's fellowship will be conferred on former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Chief Bayo Ojo SAN, and six others.Musdapher, who had set up a 28-member panel to reform the justice sector, will deliver this year's lecture entitled 'The Nigerian Judiciary: Towards Reform of the Bastion of Constitutional Democracy.'Others nominated along with Ojo for the institute fellowship included the Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Walter Onnoghen; Justice V. C. R. A. A. Crabbe of Ghana; Professor Frank Wang of the United States of America (USA); Professor Karisu Chukkol; Professor Isabella Okagbue and Chief Chimezie Ikeazor.Senate President, Senator David Mark and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, are the special guests of the event, while the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke, is the chief host.A statement by the Director-General of the institute, Professor Epiphany Azinge, said the event would take place at NICON Luxury Hotel in Abuja, by 11.00 a.m.
