Teen millionaire emerges from MTN promo

It was all excitement at the Bridge Waters Hotel, Enugu, venue of the fourth prize presentation for MTN 1 Billion Naira Mega Reward when seventeen year old, Nnachebe Ozuluoha, was named among ten new MTN N10m winners in the ongoing reward scheme.The teenage millionaire alongside nine others was presented with N10m cheques on November 3, at a ceremony which had the telecommunications operator giving away over N102m to its subscribers.Describing their experience, the new winners said they were surprised and highly elated to be among the lucky subscribers to be rewarded with N10m each.According to Ozuluoha, a student of Christ the King College, Onitsha, Anambra State, he received the phone call notifying him that he won with excitement.He said, "I have heard a lot about the MTN N1bn reward; so when I saw a call from "180", the MTN customer care number, I was thrilled and very eager to receive the news." Another N10m winner, Mrs. Doyinmola Ayeni, a trader from Kwara State, was no less excited about the amazement of her win in the reward scheme. "I have never seen such money in my life" she enthused. "This is certainly a life-changing experience for me and my family as I can now be rest assured that my children will have the best education available," she said.Presenting the cheques to some of the winners was Brand Manager, Progressives, MTN, Mr. Osaze Ebueku, who explained the essence of the reward scheme, stating that, "At MTN, we are very passionate about our customers and that is why we introduced the N1bn Reward package to encourage them to register their MTN SIM cards."Osaze encouraged MTN subscribers who have not registered their lines to seize the opportunity of becoming a millionaire to go and register at any MTN Walk-in Centre or designated registration centers despite the lapse of the deadline set by Nigeria Communication Commission.Aside the ten lucky winners who were rewarded with N10m each, 15 MTN subscribers went home with N100,000 each while 100 subscribers received N10,000 instantly.Commenting further on the essence of the reward scheme, Osaze pointed that the essence was to enrich lives. "We dont just give people fish here, we ensure that they are taught how to fish for themselves. That is why we are empowering them like this."According to her, the scheme is a reward and not a mere promo. She said, "That is why we are urging new and existing subscribers to register their SIM card, and migrate to any of MTNs new packages. They are just three in number: Super Saver, Family Loaded Expanded and Fun Link.
