Developer showcases Agbara's Queens Land Estate

EFFORTS for a Lagos-based real estate investment and development firm, Strategic Shelter Development Company (SSDC), to deliver a-280 units of homes for Nigerians within the vicinity of sprawling industrial settlement, Agbara, in Ogun State have reached advanced stage.The project, christened Queens Land Estate, is a mixed-use development, comprising of both residential and commercial purposes, designed for the medium income earners including top-level civil servants and young graduate employees in banks, telecoms and others.It is occupying a large expanse of land of about 370 acres in Agbara, Igbesa, in Ogun State.Specifically, the estate when completed will come with modern-day infrastructure including perimeter fencing with gate,tarred/paved road network with quality drainage, electricity, street lighton the estate's major roads, recreational and sporting facilities.Briefing newsmen on the project, SSDC's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Emeka Oranugo, said the project, which fits into the company's twin servicesoffering of housing and site and serviced schemes, is being undertaken in order to further reduce Nigeria 's housing deficit especially in Lagos-Ogun axis, Agbara corridor in particular.According to him, Queen's Homes, the housing arm of the estate, is a collection of detached and semi-detached bungalows with modern architecture in both design and finishing.'It is conceived to set a new standard for moderate income housing in Nigeria with a combination of beauty, quality, comfort and affordability', he said.For would be subscribers, Oranugo said Queen's Homes offers flexible payment plans an option of outright or structured payments, explaining that each unit of the semi-detached bungalow goes for N7.5 million while the fully detached types sell for N8.2 million per unit.He added that a buyer who chooses to pay by installment enjoys staggered payment ranging from six months tenor to 60 months tenor under varying terms and conditions.'After the initial deposit of N1.5 million, a buyerwho chooses six months tenor for semi-detached house makes a monthly payment of N1,087,500.00 while, for the fully detached house, such a buyer after the initial deposit of N1.64 million pays N1.189 monthly', he said.
