Dangote donates 600m in Kano

BUSINESS mogul, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, has donated N600 million to the needy spread across the 44 councils of Kano State.A breakdown of how the amount is to be distributed indicates that N440 million is to be shared by 44,000 indigent women in the state while the remaining N160 million is to be utilised for the procurement of equipment to enhance agricultural production in the state.The business mogul, who is the chairman of the Dangote group of companies, made the donation on behalf of the Dangote Foundation during the monthly community reorientation committee (CRC) held at the Indoor Sports Hall of the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, at the weekend.In attendance at the parley were Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso; Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Lamido Sanusi Lamido; the Emir of Kano, Dr. Ado Bayero, district heads, members of the state executive council and hundreds of persons from across the 44 councils of the state.
