Betting Tips for The UEFA Champions League

Published by The Sun on Mon, 29 Apr 2024

The UEFA Champions League quarter-finals ended with a surprise. Paris Saint Germain eliminated Barcelona with a humiliating 1-4 victory (4-6 on aggregate), and Real knocked EPL powerhouse Manchester City out of the competition on penalties. This decides which teams proceed to the semifinals - Bayern, Real, Dortmund, and PSG - and gives us a hint on who could play the final this season.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves - let’s look at what we can expect from the clashes of the semifinals played at the end of the month.

Borussia Dortmund vs PSG

Bookmakers expect the Parisian team to have the upper hand in confronting Dortmund on April 30. Although, their advantage is slight. Dortmund performed well in the Bundesliga, winning four of its last five matches. PSG had a more fluctuating performance, with two victories and three draws - but it’s sitting comfortably on the top of the Ligue 1 table.

The German team will have to play without Bensebaini, who is out with a ligament injury until the end of May. But left-winger Karim Adeyemi will be back for the game. PSG has no new injuries or suspensions to influence the team’s performance in the semifinals.

Out of the last five matches played by the two teams, PSG won two, Dortmund won one, and two ended in a draw.

Bayern München vs Real Madrid

Bayern currently sits in second place on the Bundesliga table, far behind Leverkusen, and has the same number of points as Stuttgart. Surprising, considering that the Bavarian team won the Bundesliga in the last 10 seasons. Real Madrid is leading in La Liga, 8 points ahead of defending champions Barcelona. Bayern lost two of its last five Bundesliga matches, while Real didn’t lose any - albeit it finished one in a draw.

The last time the two teams met in the Champions League was in the 2017/2018 season, also in the semi-finals. Real won by one goal - and it hopes to repeat this performance this year.

Bookmakers expect the German team to have the upper hand in the UEFA Champions League semifinals. For more tips and the best sites to bet on this match, check out onlinecasinosonline.co.za. Who Could Play The Finals

The most beautiful thing about football is that a game is not over until it’s over - unexpected changes can take the events in a different direction at any moment. But, the way the odds currently look, we can expect Paris Saint Germain to meet Bayern München in the finals.

Both teams are among the best in their respective national leagues. While Bayern didn’t perform as expected this season, it will still be a tough nut to crack for PSG.

One thing’s for sure: whichever teams reach the final, we’re in for a high-class battle on the turf. The odds are out - all you need to do is place your bets and enjoy the top-flight of European club football. But make sure you do it responsibly and within your means!
