Five docked for hacking WhatsApp account to commit N650k fraud

Kehinde, 18, Adisa, 18; Yakub Ojo,18; John, 18 and Victor, 22, who all reside in Eleyele area of Ibadan, are facing a nine-count charge bordering on conspiracy, fraud and stealing. The Prosecutor, Cpl. Akeem Akinloye, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on Jan. 31 at Eleyele, Ibadan. Akinloye said the defendants hacked the WhatsApp account of the complainant, Mr Olusola Aremu and impersonated him and solicited for funds from his friends.
