Tbay's 1000 Schools Program: Changing Lives, One School at a Time

Published by Thisday on Tue, 29 Apr 2025

Tbay isn’t just Nigeria’s go-to app for gift card trading and bill payments, it’s also a platform built on a deeper purpose. While we continue to make life easier by helping users sell gift cards and pay bills with ease, we also believe in giving back to the communities that need it the most.

That’s why we launched the Tbay Charity Program: Donating 1000 Schools in Africa. Our aim is simple: to make a real difference in the lives of children who don’t have access to basic school supplies or educational support. From Nigeria to Ghana, Tanzania to Uganda, we’re committed to helping children in remote areas get the tools they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Our Mission

Education is the foundation of progress, yet thousands of schools in rural Africa lack basic supplies like books, writing materials, and even proper classrooms. The Tbay 1000 Schools Program aims to bridge this gap by:
  • Delivering essential school supplies to underserved communities.
  • Creating memorable, fun-filled days for children who deserve joy and encouragement.
  • Building long-term partnerships with schools to ensure sustained impact.
We’re not just donating items; we’re investing in Africa’s next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers.

How It Works?

We have dedicated teams on ground in multiple African countries including Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon, South Africa, Uganda, and Tanzania. These teams visit remote towns, connect directly with local schools, and carefully assess the needs of each one.
Once a school is selected, we coordinate closely with school representatives, such as headmasters and teachers, to plan a visit. Everything is done with one goal in mind: to make the biggest impact possible for the children.

What Happens During the Event?

On the day of the event, the Tbay team arrives at the school with school supplies like books, writing materials, and learning tools. But it’s not just about handing things over, it’s about connecting.

We spend time with the children, play games, join in a football match, and build real moments of joy. Our team also meets with school heads to discuss long-term needs and how we can continue to help in the future. The event ends with a cheerful afternoon of laughter, learning, and a shared promise to stay in touch.

How Can You Help?

You don’t need to donate separately or attend any events. All you have to do is keep trading on Tbay because every transaction you make, we donate ₦20 to our 1000 Schools Program. Your everyday trading activity directly translates to more support for schools across Africa. The more active you are on our platform, the greater our collective impact becomes. Join us in this powerful movement to transform education across the continent. With each trade, you're helping to lay the foundation for a brighter future. Ready to trade for change? Visit www.tbay.store or download our app and start trading now & help educate a child!

Together, we’re building schools, spreading smiles, and making change.
