CBS8 reports that multiple Jewish groups also distanced themselves from the event, accusing Kehlani of amplifying antisemitic rhetoric.Kehlanis controversial stance has sparked backlash before. In April, Cornell University canceled her Slope Day performance, citing her anti-Israel views. In May, her Central Park show was canceled over safety concerns, with New York City Mayor Eric Adams hinting at similar issues. Despite the controversy, Kehlani doubled down on her pro-Palestinian position during the 2025 American Music Awards, condemning the violence and stating that recognizing such suffering should be as easy as breathing.Responding to the sponsor withdrawals, UC San Diego emphasized its condemnation of antisemitism and reaffirmed its commitment to inclusivity and respect for all, including Jewish members of its community. San Diego Pride expressed disappointment but respected the decisions of those who chose not to participate this year.Kehlani responded to the controversy on her Instagram Story, indicating she remains unfazed by the backlash. TMZ reached out to Mayor Gloria for comment but has yet to receive a response. The post San Diego pride sponsors pull out over singer Kehlani's headlining performance after support for Palestine appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
