Customs celebrate return to DStv League

Customs basketball team on Saturday won the National Division One League competition which held through last week at the Abuja National Stadium.The Customs coach to the competition Mohammed Jagu Abbah who spoke with THE PUNCH on Monday said it was the best thing happening to their basketball programme this year.He said, "Now we have to fight to remain in the Premier League. We are happy to be back to the big stage."The Customs spent the last season in the lower division after dropping off the DStv League. They had joined the Premier League in 1996 following the lower league play offs held in Ilorin, Kwara State that season.Customs replace Delta Force of Asaba who were relegated at the end of last season.
