Oshiomhole's aide resigns over Senate rejection

A Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, Mr. Osahon Imaru has resigned his appointment citing alleged injustice and imbalance in the system.Imaru's resignation, which took effect from Tuesday (November 22, 2011), came a week after the Senate rejected his nomination by President Goodluck Jonathan to represent Edo State on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).Imaru's decision to resign, according to sources close to the NDDC, was not unconnected with the role the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) government in the State played in the rejection of his nomination.
