Omatek CEO emerges ITAN president

The Chief Executive Officer, Omatek Computers, Mrs. Florence Seriki, was elected the sixth President, Information Technology Association of Nigeria, during the just concluded Annual General Meeting of the body.A statement on Monday said the meeting also approved a new constitution for the association during the AGM.The statement said Seriki, who also served as the 1st vice-president during the last administration, would now be at the forefront of ITANs push toward a truly digital society in the coming years.Other newly-elected officers include the Chief Executive Officer, Programos Software, Mr. Amos Emmanuel (1st vice-president); Executive Director, CITAD, Mr. Yunusa Yau (2nd vice-president); and Chief Executive Officer, Sagita Systems Limited, Mr. Mathias Ifesieh ( treasurer).The immediate past President, Dr. Jimson Olufuye, and his national executive council took over the leadership of the association at the 2007 AGM and served for two terms.During that time, ITAN became a member and the regional secretariat of the World Information Technology and Services Alliance among other international milestones.
