DELTA State Governor Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan has urged the National Chairman of the PDP Alhaji Bamanga Tukur to always respect the party structure in his dealings. The Governor in a statement noted that the party would be better off in terms of unity, peace and strength if party structure were not sidelined in the affairs of the party. He stated further: 'In particular, the existing peace and unity in the Delta chapter of PDP can be sustained if the national leadership of the party uses the state structure of the party to relate with members in the state.'Uduaghan enjoined the national leadership to work in harmony with the state leadership to bring cohesion and development to the members and the State, saying 'I enjoin you to work with the party hierarchy in the State for the good of all.'Uduaghan, while congratulated Tukur and the members of the national leadership, noted that Tukur has the experience, clout and political acumen to take the party to a greater height.'Meanwhile, the pioneer National Chairman of the PDP, Chief Solomon Lar, has appealed to all the stakeholders in the state to bury their political differences and join the new leadership of the party to build a virile and vibrant political future for the next generation.Lar spoke at the backdrop of the PDP national convention in Abuja in which national officers were selected including the national chairman, Tukur. Lar described the convention as very successful and eventful.According to him, the national convention was the best organised in the history of the country. Plateau went to Abuja with 92 delegates from the wards, councils and the state government.
