Ayesha Curry's Tweet On Dressing Modestly Sparks Debate On Feminism

Published by Huffington Post on Mon, 07 Dec 2015

Ayesha Curry sparked a debate among feminists on Twitter when she expressed her preference in clothing on Twitter Saturday. The professional chef -- and wife of NBA shooting extraordinaire Stephen Curry-- tweeted she would rather keep a more modest appearance than what today's trends demand. Everyone's into barely wearing clothes these days huh' Not my style. I like to keep the good stuff covered up for the one who mattersAyesha Curry (@ayeshacurry) December 6, 2015 In a following tweet, she wrote that she'll take "classy over trendy any day of the week." Her taste in clothing set off a heated debate, with Curry receiving some backlash from people who believe she was shaming women who dress less modestly. Sounds as if Ayesha Curry thinks her body/other women's bodies are like consumer goods marketed exclusively for use by men, or something. felicia jean (@felicianista) December 6, 2015 Its okay for Ayesha Curry to have a preference for how she dresses. Its not okay for her to shame other women who dont share it as classless Brandon E.
