Eagles' ll consolidate in Calabar after Malawi draw

FORMER Nigeria international, Charles Bassey has said that he is happy with the result the Super Eagles got in Blantyre, while noting that the team will consolidate in Calabar in subsequent matches.Bassey, who is the technical director of the Nigeria Premier League side, Akwa United, revealed that the draw was a good result because it has slowed Malawi down on the league table."I am happy with the boys and the result they got against Malawi. When you look at the table you will realize that we are leading on the table and Malawi will also come to Nigeria."I am sure that the Super Eagles will consolidate when Malawi come visiting. Malawi held Kenya to a goalless draw in Nairobi, but could not grab their three points against us."That means we have an advantage that can be turned into something that will give us the ticket at the end of the qualifiers."Nobody should look at this result as a setback because we could have also lost the match. No matter what happens in the game between Namibia and Kenya, we can be rest assured that we are on top of the table."All we need to do is to win all our home matches and then get the desired result at away games," Bassey said.
