Oyo: Legislator gives dividends of democracy to community

HONOURABLE Segun Ogunwuyi has put smiles on the faces of people of Arowomole in Ogbomoso South Local Government Area of Oyo State, when he commissioned some of the completed human development projects as part of his promised dvidends of democracy.Honourable Ogunwuyi who is a member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Oyo State House of Assembly and also the Chairman, House Committee on Science and Technology made this known to Community News recently in Arowomole, the headquarters of Ogbomoso South of Oyo State.The parliamentarian has put in place solid infrastructural amenities for the enjoyment of his people such as classrooms and provision of potable water to complement the efforts of government to make life more meaningful and enjoyable for the people at grass roots.According to him, 'I want my people to feel my positive contribution to their welfare and the provision of infrastructural amenities for my people so that life would be more comfortable, meaningful and enjoyable to all and sundry.'As part of his contribution towards alleviating poverty and economic empowerment among the people of rural area, Honourable Ogunwuyi also distributed 50 motorcycles (okada), in the area, 100 sewing machines for women as part of economic empowerment, several hair dryers, computers and its accessories, barbing tools e.t.c. with the aim of making his people self-employed and independent.He also distributed agricultural tools such as cutlasses, fertilisers, chemicals to spray cocoa pods and others with a view to boosting and increasing farmers' harvest in the next harvesting period.The legislator, however, charged the people of the area to jealously guard those infrastructural amenities so that vandals could not be able to damage them and those that were empowered economically or those who received skill acquisition, should make use of the golden opportunity to better their standard of living.
